What the site is for

The site describes what Side Note Studios does and lets you get in touch through the inquiry form. Nothing on it is an offer or a contract. Sending an inquiry doesn’t commit you to anything, and it doesn’t commit Side Note Studios to taking on the work. What’s included, the timing and the cost are agreed in writing before a project starts.

Prices

Prices on this site are in US dollars, for the work as it is described here. The price planner on the Services page adds them up for the choices you make; it is not a quote. What you pay, and when, is set out in your written quote, which you get before any work begins.

Costs paid to others, such as your domain, your own hosting account and any third-party license, are not in these prices. They are named and confirmed in writing before you sign.

Accuracy

Side Note Studios tries to keep everything here accurate and current, and updates it when the studio’s services change. If something on the site differs from your written quote or agreement, the quote or agreement is what counts.

Content and code

The text, design and code of this site belong to Side Note Studios. The software and typefaces it is built with belong to their makers and are used under their own licenses. You’re welcome to link to the site, quote from it or share it. Please don’t copy the site or its design wholesale and present it as your own.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. Side Note Studios aims to keep it online and working, but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and isn’t liable for losses that come from relying on it.

Privacy

What happens with the information you send through the form is explained on the privacy page.

Changes and law

Side Note Studios may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top tells you when. The terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Not decided yet

The agreement a client signs for a project is still being written, and is pending attorney review. Who to contact about these terms has not been decided; until it is, the inquiry form is the way to ask.
