Services
A custom website in one of two sizes, paid upfront or in twelve monthly payments, with Care only if you want it. You get what’s included and the price in writing before work begins.
Websites
One custom website offer, in two sizes, with two ways to pay. Choose the size, choose how you pay, and add Care only if you want it.
Custom Website
Launch your website
A proper launch for your next chapter. Designed to feel like your business and make the next step clear.
Choosing your page count
Both sizes get the same design quality, the same process and the same website features. The agreed number of pages is the only difference. Hosting, the service that keeps the site online, is included while you’re paying monthly or have Care.
Five pages suits a business whose services can be explained together: who you are, what you do and how to reach you.
Eight pages gives individual services, locations or audiences a page of their own.
A page is one address with its own content, such as Home, Services or Contact. Privacy and Terms pages don’t count toward the five or eight.
A website is planned to take about 10 days once I have your text, photos and access; your quote confirms the dates.
Every website includes
- A first conversation about your business, and an agreed list of pages
- Custom design that works on phones, tablets and desktops
- Editing and organizing the facts, draft text or bullet points you supply
- The agreed pages: five or eight
- Set up so Google can find and read your pages. No promises about where you rank.
- One contact form: you’re told about each message, the sender sees a confirmation on screen, and junk is filtered out
- A check that your Google listing (the one with your hours and reviews) is correct and links to the site
- Two rounds of changes, each sent as one list
- Connecting your web address, checking everything at launch, and showing you how it all works
- For 30 days after launch, anything that doesn’t work as agreed is fixed at no charge
Your part
- You supply the facts about your business, any draft text or bullet points, your logo and your photos.
- You give access to your domain, and one person approves for your business.
- Photography is not included.

You confirm the facts and approve the final copy. It is a one-time price, separate from the website payments.
Not included
- Online booking, ordering or a shop. The site can link to a tool you already use; building one is quoted separately.
- Ongoing work to rank higher on Google (SEO), social media posting and advertising.
- Pages beyond the agreed five or eight, which are quoted separately.
The Complete Project
A larger launch project, for a business that wants the pieces assembled for it: the website, the words, the follow-up and the launch materials. It ends when the launch is delivered; ongoing marketing isn’t part of it.
One small studio. A lot coming together.
Website, words, follow-up and launch artwork, built together. Chameleon & Co. is a fictional example.
Complete Project
A little character. A complete launch.
The eight-page website, writing, Follow-Up installation and Launch Kit are coordinated as one project.

- Custom Website, eight pages$3,500
- Full copywriting for the eight pages$1,200
- Side Note Follow-Up, installed$1,500
- Launch Kit$800
- Together, paid upfront$7,000
or 12 payments of $700, $8,400 in all

The Launch Kit
- A logo and one variant
- A color palette and typefaces, with a one-page usage guide
- Images sized for your social profiles
- Help setting up or tidying your Google Business Profile
- Your social profiles brought in line with the new site
- Three launch announcements, prepared with graphics and captions
Your part
- You hand over what you have: existing materials, photos and access to your accounts.
- You confirm the facts, take part in the design decisions and give the final approvals.
- The announcements are prepared for you to publish. Side Note does not post them.
Good to know
- An identity that already works is kept. Nothing here is an automatic rebrand.
- Google and you control whether a Business Profile is verified or approved. Side Note cannot promise it.
- Follow-Up runs on third-party software with its own subscription and messaging charges, billed separately at cost. The provider, consent and opt-out handling, usage limits and recurring costs are set out in your written quote before it is used with customers.
- Care is optional and looks after the website only. It does not run Follow-Up or promotion.
- No leads, rankings or results are promised. Photography, printing, online booking, a store, publishing posts and advertising are not included.
If you need less
- Only need the website? Five pages is $2,500 and eight is $3,500, or twelve monthly payments. See the Custom Website
- Only need the website and the writing? Eight pages with full copywriting is $4,700 upfront, and five pages is $3,400. See copywriting
- Only need follow-up? Side Note Follow-Up on its own is $1,500 one time, with software and messaging billed separately. See Side Note Follow-Up
Optional Website Care
Two optional plans, with either way of paying, that look after the website once it’s live. Nobody is enrolled automatically. Care covers the website only.
A small edit, seen through.
The edit shown here is included in Care Full, within its 60 minutes a month. Care Essentials includes checks and a brief monthly record, without page edits.
It goes in your monthly record.
Care Full’s note tells you what changed, what was checked and the edit time used.

Small edits are changes to pages you already have, with text or photos you supply: new hours or contact details, a new photo, an updated service description. The time spent arranging and checking them counts within the 60 minutes.
Unused time doesn’t carry over to the next month, and nothing beyond it is charged without your approval first. New pages or features, moving or rebuilding the site, full copywriting, ongoing work to rank higher on Google (SEO), social posting and running Follow-Up are quoted separately.
Alerts are automatic; they aren’t a 24-hour help line.
Care is month to month and ends on 30 days’ written notice; a final part-month is charged only for the days used. Ending it never makes the remaining website payments due sooner.
Anything Side Note’s own upkeep breaks is fixed without using your edit time, and anything that doesn’t work as agreed is fixed for 30 days after launch, with or without Care.
Hosting and ownership
- Hosting
- Studio hosting is included while your website payments are current or Care is active. Pay upfront without Care and use your own hosting account from launch; finish the 12 payments without Care and move to it then. One transfer is free, done with you. You then pay the hosting provider directly; a paid-for site is not taken offline unexpectedly.
- Costs paid to others
- Your domain stays in your control. Domain renewal, your own hosting and any applicable software, messaging or license charges are paid to outside providers and can continue after the project. Follow-Up installation is paid to Side Note, including as part of Complete Project; its ongoing provider charges are separate, billed at cost. Actual outside costs are confirmed in your written quote before you sign.
- Ownership
- Your domain, accounts, content and data are yours from the start. The custom work becomes yours once the website is paid for, upfront, at the last monthly payment or by early payoff, with no transfer fee. Fonts, photos and software made by other companies stay under their own terms, and any parts Side Note reuses across projects are listed in your quote.
- A site built elsewhere
- Care may be available after a compatibility review. Any cleanup or migration is quoted before work.
Brand & Content
Find your brand’s character
Color, type and words that feel unmistakably yours. Copywriting is an option with a website; brand and print work is quoted for your project.
Website Copywriting: $900 for five pages, $1,200 for eight, as an option with a website
By request
Brand Essentials
A logo, colors and type for your business, with a short guide to using them. Quoted for your project. A Launch Kit is part of the Complete Project.
Print Design
Design for menus, flyers, business cards and other printed materials, supplied as print-ready files. Printing is not included: you order from the printer you choose.
Presentations and templates
A slide deck, or reusable templates for proposals, letterhead and social posts, designed in your brand. You fill in and publish the templates yourself.
Practical Setups
Make the everyday easier
Automatic follow-ups, useful details before you reply, and customers who can book without calling. Follow-Up has a set price; forms, booking and other setups are quoted for your project.
Side Note Follow-Up
Keep the conversation going.
Follow up on missed calls and unanswered estimates, and ask customers for a review.
What’s included
- Missed-call text-back
- Estimate follow-up, when an estimate is waiting for a response
- Review requests
- Message copy and registration for the business text messages
- 14 days of tuning after launch, as real calls and estimates come in
Good to know
- The messages go out automatically. You contact the leads that need a response.
- It is a one-time setup, not ongoing management. Changes after the first 14 days are quoted by project.
- It does not require a Side Note website, and it is separate from the inquiry form that comes with every website.
Software and messaging
Follow-Up runs on third-party software with its own subscription and texting charges. These are ongoing, billed separately at cost, and not part of the $1,500.
Which account the software runs under is agreed in your quote. It runs only while that account is active.
The provider, consent and opt-out handling, usage limits and recurring costs are set out in your written quote before it is used with customers.
By request
Custom Inquiry Forms
A form built around one kind of request, where the next question can depend on the last answer. The standard inquiry form is already part of every website.
Booking Setup
Online booking, so customers can pick a time without calling. Set up in the tool you choose, for one location and one calendar. The tool’s subscription is paid to its provider.
Staff Guides
A short written guide and checklist for one recurring task, with a walkthrough for your team. Not an employee handbook or a legal policy.
AI Training
A hands-on session on using an AI assistant for two everyday tasks, with a short guide to checking its work. Not for sensitive or confidential records.
Quote Tools
A template and your own pricing rules, set up so a request becomes a draft estimate. You review and approve every estimate before it goes out.
Small Online Stores
A small store on a hosted platform, with your products, photos, and pickup or shipping options. The platform’s subscription and payment fees are paid to its provider.
These are one-time setups, handed over to you to run.
Combined and custom projects
Services can be combined into one project: a website with its copy written, or a website with print design to match. Each part keeps its own list of what’s included and its price, on one written quote.
Custom work is available when it is a substantial project of its own. If it needs investigating before it can be priced, that planning is quoted first.
Need help after launch? Additional work is quoted by project.
Common questions
What happens after the twelfth payment?
The website payments stop after payment 12: the website is paid for and the custom work is yours. Care continues only if you chose it and have not cancelled it, and nobody is enrolled in it automatically. Without Care, the site moves to your own hosting account with one free transfer, done with you.
How do the monthly payments work?
There is no separate upfront build fee. The first monthly payment is due at signing and is payment 1 of 12, not an extra deposit; the rest follow monthly. If Side Note causes a delay in delivery, billing pauses. What happens when a delay is on your side is set out in your written quote.
Can I pay off the balance early?
Yes, with no fee. Each payment you have left is charged at one twelfth of the upfront price. After six payments that is $1,250 for five pages, $1,750 for eight, or $3,500 for the Complete Project. The extra already paid by choosing monthly payments isn’t refunded, and Care is billed separately.
Is hosting included?
Studio hosting is included while your website payments are current or a Care plan is active. It is one hosting service: having both does not add a second hosting charge. Pay upfront without Care and the site goes onto your own hosting account at launch; finish the twelve payments without Care and it moves there then. Either way you get one free transfer, done with you, and you control your domain throughout.
What costs continue after the project?
For the website, nothing to Side Note unless you choose Care, at $99 or $150 a month. Your web address (domain) is yours to renew, and once the site is on your own hosting account you pay that hosting company directly. Any license for another company’s software, fonts or images is named too. Those actual costs are confirmed in writing before you sign. Side Note Follow-Up runs on third-party software with its own subscription and messaging charges, billed separately at cost.
Can I cancel a website project?
Yes, at any time. Before launch you pay only for the stages of work you have approved, at upfront prices: what you’ve paid counts toward that, anything over is refunded, and you aren’t charged for work that wasn’t done. The stages, what counts as approved, and any outside expense you approved that can’t be recovered are set out in your written quote before work starts. After launch, the rest is settled as an early payoff.
How do I cancel Care?
With 30 days’ written notice. A final part-month is charged only for the days used. Ending Care never makes the remaining website payments due sooner: they carry on as before.
What if I miss a payment?
You get a written notice and 15 days to put it right, and nothing is paused in that time. Nothing is switched off automatically: only if it’s still unresolved at least 30 days after the notice, and after a person has reviewed it, can hosting from Side Note be paused, and that can be undone. Your data and domain are never touched, and there’s no late fee you didn’t agree to.
Who owns the website?
Your domain, accounts, content and data are yours from the start. The custom work becomes yours when the website is paid for: upfront, at payment 12, or by early payoff, with no transfer fee. Fonts, photos or software from other companies, and any parts Side Note reuses across projects, are listed in your quote. Moving the hosting is arranged separately and checked before it is called done.
How long does a website take?
A website is planned to take about 10 days from when I have your text, photos and access. It depends on the size of the site and on how quickly approvals come back, and a larger project such as the Complete Project takes longer. Your quote sets out the dates before work begins.
What do I need to provide, and can you write the copy?
The facts about your business, any draft text or bullet points, your logo and photos, and access to your domain. Editing and organizing what you supply is part of every website. If you would rather have it written, full copywriting from research and an interview is $900 for five pages or $1,200 for eight, and you confirm the facts and approve the final copy. In the Complete Project the writing is included.
Can I keep my existing logo and branding?
Yes. A website is built with the brand you have, and the Complete Project keeps an identity that already works.
What does Side Note Follow-Up do, and do I still answer customers myself?
It sends a text back when you miss a call, follows up when an estimate has gone unanswered, and asks customers for a review. Those messages go out automatically. When someone replies or needs a real answer, that is still you. It is separate from the inquiry form that comes with every website.
